We’re starting to wrap up the framing on this new custom home. The framing process involved installing massive beams, including a steel beam to ensure structural integrity. The overall design of the home is very unique. It features a cantilevered front porch, which is an architectural design that uses a beam that is anchored at just one point. This teardown custom home’s cantilever porch includes an integral barrel vault highlighted by an eye-catching window.

This type of project has become popular among Utah residents, especially in this particular neighborhood. The rising cost of land in Salt Lake City and the surrounding area makes lot recycling an extremely viable option for many homeowners. So, if you have a home on a lot you love, choosing to tear down and rebuild may be a better option than purchasing a new home and lot.
