Did you know, Ironwood Custom Builders is a proud member of the Salt Lake Home Builders Association? In fact, our general manager, Kelly Anderson, is heavily involved with the organization! Since 2002, Kelly has held various roles within the Salt Lake Home Builders Association, including:

  • A Member of the board from 2002 to 2008
  • An Executive committee member from 2008 to 2010
  • President of the Salt Lake Home Builders Association from 2010 to 2011

Having served as a past president of the Salt Lake Home Builders Association, Kelly is now an ex-officio, lifetime member of the association’s board of directors. Kelly’s participation within the organization has been recognized time and time again. In 2009, he even received the “President’s Award” for providing exceptional service to the home building industry and community at large. It doesn’t stop there, though! Kelly was also awarded, “Home Builder of the Year” by the Salt Lake Home Builders Association in 2012.

The Salt Lake Home Builders Association is “a membership of diverse industry professionals who meet to improve the communities we live in. SLHBA is a non-profit organization; our member’s give of their time knowing that through their efforts every resident can achieve the American Dream of homeownership should they desire. Along with housing, we advocate to protect the free market so that businesses can operate in a manner that allows for quality products, low costs, high efficiency, and new technology. Through the unique backgrounds, experiences, and talents of members, the SLHBA has a rich history of advancing housing along the Wasatch Front.”

The Salt Lake Home Builders Association is responsible for organizing several events in the Salt Lake City area each year. One of the more widely recognized events is the Parade of Homes held each August.
