ZooLights! will be brighter and more sparkling than ever as this festive, family-fun light event returns for its 10th anniversary year.  Over 200 lighted animal and holiday-themed displays will glisten in the December night as you make your way throughout Zoo grounds.  Enjoy dinner in the Beastro, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or check out our vast array tasty treats!

The Nutcracker

No holiday season is complete without the festive cheer of The Nutcracker. Join Ballet West for the retirement season of its sets and costumes, which will make way for a new, fantastical, magic-filled look in 2017, complete with Willam Christensen’s historic choreography and Tchaikovsky’s famous score. Bring your friends and family one more time to see why this is the longest-running full production in America.

1st Annual Creekside Kinderclass Holiday Bazaar

The 1st Annual Creekside Kinderclass Holiday Bazaar will be an unforgettable day of winter magic with great food, lovely hand-made gifts, live music, and unique activities especially crafted to inspire and stimulate children’s imaginations. There will be a magical children’s-only Angel Room where children will be guided by a special grades-age Angel helper to find gifts for their family. They’ll also have a chance to meet our very own Winter “Pocket” Fairy and take part in fun activities focused on the early childhood ages. And best of all, we’ll be raising funds to support Creekside Kinderclass! Seeing littles ones’ eyes light up at the magic of the holiday season really is the best! Utah Santa 5k Run

The Utah Santa is for all good little girls and boys, young and old, to come dressed in their Santa best (Santa suits provided), and enjoy a brisk race through a wintery wonderland. Elves will be on site to assist and cookies and milk will be waiting for those of you whose names end up on our ‘nice’ list. Presented and organized by On Hill Events.

Christmas Eve Parade and Fireworks

There’s no place like Snowbird for the holidays! Join us at dusk on the Plaza Deck for bonfires, the Torchlight Parade and a great fireworks display. At the end, Santa Claus will rappel out of the Tram to say hello to the kids!

The Heritage Village Carolers return each year for an encore presentation, providing an inspiring backdrop to the glitter of lights, the glow of warm fires and the smells of Christmas. Take home a little bit of Christmas by joining in the fun of making crafts and homemade gifts in one of the decorated historic homes or pioneer cabins. And you can save all your holiday shopping for your visit to the Park.
