Bonsai Show
When: October 8th, 2016
Where: Red Butte Garden

Salt Lake City, UT

Discover Bonsai, the Japanese art of growing miniature trees in containers. Members of The Bonsai Club of Utah will exhibit different bonsai styles and arrangements, and offer demonstrations of training and shaping techniques. Trees and tools will also be available for purchase directly from the experts.

Little Haunts

Pumpkin Festival

Pumpkin Festival brings out hundreds of ghosts, goblins and little monsters for a costume contest and pumpkin-carving contest.  Activities include Boo Bowling, Pumpkin Limbo, Haunted House Bean Bag Throw, Monster Scavenger Hunt and more.

5th Annual Trick or Treat Street

The Utah Olympic Oval is proud to host an indoor trick-or-treating event like no other! Little ghouls and ghosts are invited to travel the Utah Olympic Oval for tricks and treats from local vendors, sport clubs, and community groups. Spooky (and safe) fun for the whole family! Free ice skating for kids 12 and under (skate rental not included).

Garden After Dark 2016

Discover nature’s ties to spooky holidays and celebrations such as Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos and the Hungry Ghost Festival of China and visit the Garden’s pond aglow with lanterns in celebration of Japan’s Obon Festival!

With crafts, activities, light displays, and more, this is a fun-filled evening you won’t want to miss! Join us for Garden After Dark, an indoor/outdoor, costume and kid-friendly experience in the Garden to celebrate Halloween.

Salt Lake Gallery Stroll

Galleries across Salt Lake are open for the public to meet artists and browse the exciting and thriving visual arts market in Salt Lake City. In May we facilitate Gallery Roll as a part of National Bike Month. The event, as always, is free. Some sponsors offer special discounts and rates for those who participate in Gallery Stroll.

Monster Block Party

The Monster Block Party is a FREE, daytime Halloween festival for Salt Lake City’s goblins and ghouls of all ages. There will be trick-or-treating booths, a costume contest with prizes (kid, teen and adult divisions), free arts and crafts projects, a pumpkin drop, live performances, and more!

Pumpkinpalooza 2016

This free celebration centers around all things pumpkin, and this year is bigger and better than ever! Participate in the county’s biggest pumpkin carving contest and then come see your illuminated jack-o-lanterns on display in our brand new Pumpkin Alley. Pumpkin pie eating contest, pumpkin arts and crafts, pumpkin smashing and more!
