Balloon Fest
When: July 2nd– 4th, 2018
Where: Bulldog Field

Provo, UT
Gather with more than 25,000 spectators to experience approximately 25 of these magical giants close-up as part of the ever popular Balloon Fest. Balloons fly each morning on July 2, 3 and 4 from 6:00am to 8am. Families and children may walk around the balloons as they inflate. Make sure and arrive at 6:00am to see the balloons inflate! Pilots participate in the Hare and the Hound competition where “hound” balloons drop bean bags onto a target laid out by the “hare.” Pilots obtain additional points through jousting as they attempt to pop large balloons with sharp sticks 200 to 300 feet above the ground. Top pilots from around the nation come to compete in this unique and difficult event. The majority of the Balloon Fest committee have been working together since the inception of this event 34 years ago. Our thanks go out to these wonderful long-term volunteers!
Colonial Fest

The Colonial Heritage Festival offers something for every member of the family. Visit colonial artisans, exhibits, demonstrations, & join in the great debates, public trials, & storytelling in the Old South Church. From our Mayflower replica to John Smith’s Armor and the Colonial School, children will be attended to by teachers from the Alpine School District. Children will be able to play Colonial games & participate in the daily children’s chores. Military enthusiasts can visit the gun displays, experience the cannon firing on the green and watch military skirmishes between the Continental Army & the British Redcoats. Join the Culper spy ring & help get messages to the key players in the battle, but be careful or you could end up in the pillory. Exhibits include the apothecary shop, blacksmith, cooper, broom maker, gunsmith, spoon maker, potter, bobbin lace maker, silhouette cutter , chandler, Isaiah Thomas Print Shop, women’s boutique, home life, frontier life, & much more.
4thof July Celebration and Fireworks

Join us for our annual 4th of July Celebration, ending with Park City’s annual fireworks presentation! Don’t miss out on our complimentary and family-friendly village activities in the Park City Mountain Village, including live music by DJ Velvet on the stage! Pioneer Day Concert

These summer concerts featuring music by the Choir and Orchestra have been a long-standing tradition. Recent guest artists have included the King’s Singers (2016), Laura Osnes (2015), Santino Fontana (2014), Nathan Pacheco and Lindsey Stirling (2013), Katherine Jenkins (2012), and Linda Eder and Brian Stokes Mitchell (2011). Prior concerts have been filmed and later rebroadcast on BYU Television. The summer concert of 2012 with Katherine Jenkins won for the Choir its second Emmy Award. (The Choir has since added a third Emmy Award for its Tanner Gift of Music concert with James Taylor.)
Bountiful Handcard Days 2018 Parade
When: July 20th, 2018
Where: Main Street from 1500 S to 400 N then west to 100 W
The 65th annual Grand Parade will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. It begins at 1500 South Main Street and proceeds north on Main Street to 400 North, then west to 100 West.
You may begin saving your spot along the parade route at 7 AM the day of the parade. Before that time no chairs, ropes, blankets, or other personal items may be left unattended. Overnight camping along the parade route is not permitted (see City Ordinance 13-2-114). The route runs north along Bountiful Main Street from 1500 South to 400 North.
Wasatch Wildflower Festival
When: July 28thand 29th, 2018
Where: Little Cottonwood Canyon
Enjoy an easy 45 minute stroll, or [up to] a 3 hour challenging hike, with our trained Wasatch Wildflower Guides. Marvel at the beautiful flora and fauna while learning about our amazing Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest! Our naturalist guides have been training for months to provide four unique and locally celebrated days!
Most hikes take place at a gentle pace to accommodate wildflower viewing and discussion, but some are longer in distance and time. Difficulty ratings of “kids, beginner, intermediate, or advanced” are provided based on trail difficulty or length, not level of wildflower knowledge.
